The round total is now $54 million, including a first close in late 2011. Donuts Inc., a Sammamish, Wash.-based registry for generic top-level domains, has raised an undisclosed amount of Series B funding at “twice the valuation” of the company’s $100 million Series A funding. Existing investor Generation Partners led the round, and was joined by Columbia Partners Private Capital. The prior round also included Austin Ventures, Adams Street Partners, Emergence Capital and TL Ventures. Donuts was founded in 2010 by former Demand Media exec Paul Stahura. www.donuts.co
