, a San Francisco-based operator of primary-care physician offices that allow patients to book same-day visits online, has raised $30 million in new VC funding led by Google Ventures, according to VentureWire. in Series B funding. Firsthand Technology Value Fund (Nasdaq: SVVC) was joined on the deal by Metamorphic Ventures, Lerer Ventures and individual angels like David Rosenblatt and Eric Hippeau and Mike Yavonditte . www.tapad.com

, an Austin, Texas-based developer of backup services for Google’s cloud-based apps, has raised $6 million in second-round funding. An undisclosed strategic investor was joined by return backer Foundry Group. www.spanningbackup.com

iStreamPlanet, a Las Vegas-based provider of live streaming video solutions, has raised an undisclosed amount of Series A funding. Intel Capital led the round, and was joined by Juniper Networks. www.istreamplanet.com
