Cerberus Capital Management has completed its previously-announced acquisition of a group of grocery, supermarket and in-store pharmacy brands from Supervalu Inc. (NYSE: SVU) for $3.3 billion ($100m cash, $3.2b debt assumption). The included assets were Albertsons, Acme, Jewel-Osco, Shaw’s and Star Market stores and related Osco and Sav-on in-store pharmacies.
