Nabsys Inc., a Providence, R.I.-based developer of solid-state, single-molecule positional sequencing for DNA analysis, has raised $20 million in Series D funding. Bay City Capital led the round, and was joined by return backers Point Judith Capital and Stata Venture Partners.

Endgame Inc., a Herndon, Va.-based provider of cyber security solutions, has raised $23 million in Series B funding. Paladin Capital Group led the round, and was joined by return backers Bessemer Venture Partners, Columbia Capital, Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers and TechOperators.

XL Hybrids Inc., a Boston-based developer of a hybrid electric powertrain designed for Class 1 to 3 commercial fleet vehicles, has raised $4 million in Series B funding from undisclosed investors.

Spiral Genetics, a Seattle-based big data bioinformatics startup, has raised $3 million in Series A funding led by Draper Fisher Jurvetson. Spiral Genetics also announced a partnership with Oakland-based genetic profiling services company Omicia.

HG Data Co., a Santa Barbara, Calif.-based provider of business intelligence services to technology companies, has raised $2 million in VC funding led by Epic Ventures.

BriefCam, a Tel Aviv-based provider of review, analysis and indexing solutions for surveillance video, has raised an undisclosed amount of strategic funding from Motorola Solutions Venture Capital.
