Wanderful Media (f.k.a. ShopCo), a Los Gatos, Calif.-based digital local discovery shopping company, has raised $22 million in new strategic funding. Backers include Advance Digital, A. H. Belo Corp., Community Newspaper Holdings Inc., Cox Media Group, The E. W. Scripps Co., Gannett Co., GateHouse Media, Hearst Corp., Lee Enterprises, MediaNews Group, The McClatchy Co. and The Washington Post Co.

Capillary Technologies, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based provider of cloud-based customer engagement software solutions for retailers, has raised $15.5 million in Series A funding. Sequoia Capital andNorwest Venture Partners co-led the round, and were joined by Qualcomm Ventures.
