Kabbage, an Atlanta-based provider of financial services data and marketing solutions for online merchants, has raised $30 million in third-round funding. Thomvest Ventures led the round, and was joined by return backers Mohr Davidow Ventures, BlueRun Ventures, David Bonderman, Warren Stephens and UPS Strategic Enterprise Fund. www.kabbage.com

Virident Systems Inc., a Milpitas, Calif.-based flash storage company, has raised $26 million in Series D funding, according to VentureWire. Mitsui & Co. led the round, and was joined by return backers Sequoia Capital, Globespan Capital Partners and Artiman Ventures. www.virident.com

Duolingo, a Pittsburgh-based language learning company that translates websites into English, has raised $15 million in Series B funding. New Enterprise Associates led the round, and was joined by return backer Union Square Ventures. www.duolingo.com

Keek, a Toronto-based social video platform, has secured C$7 million in private financing. Cranson Capital Securities led the round, and was joined by Pinetree Capital Ltd. and Whitecap Venture Partners.www.keek.com

Appnomic Systems, a Santa Clara, Calif.-based provider of automated enterprise and Cloud IT performance management solutions, has raised $5 million in Series C funding led by Norwest Venture Partnerswww.appnomic.com

Confluence Life Sciences Inc., a St. Louis-based developer of kinase inhibitors to treat cancer and inflammatory disease, has raised $4 million in Series A funding. DFJ Mercury led the round, and also includes note conversion by BioGenerator, Missouri Technology Corporation and the Helix Fund.www.confluencelifesciences.com

Wattpad, an online community of readers and writers, has raised an undisclosed amount of VC funding from OMERS Ventures. The company in June announced a $17.3 million Series B round from Khosla Ventures, Jerry Yang, Union Square Ventures and Golden Venture Partners. www.wattpad.com
