BioMotiv, a Cleveland-based, has raised $21 million in Series A funding. Backers include University Hospitals Health System Inc. and the Harrington family. www.biomotiv.com

Bigcommerce, an Austin, Texas-based e-commerce platform for SMBs, has raised $20 million in Series B funding. General Catalyst Partners led the round, and was joined by Floodgate.www.bigcommerce.com

Doximity, a San Francisco-based professional network for physicians, has raised $17 million in Series B funding. Morgenthaler Ventures led the round, and was joined by return backers Emergence Capital Partners and InterWest Partners. The company previously raised $10 million. www.doximity.com

Act-On Software, a Beaverton, Ore.-based provider of cloud-based integrated marketing platforms, has raised $16 million in Series D funding. Norwest Venture Partners led the round, and was joined by return backers Trinity Ventures, US Venture Partners and Voyager Capital also participating. www.act-on.com

Zymeworks
, a Vancouver-based developer of bi-specific antibody therapeutics and multi-valent protein therapeutics, has raised C$11 million in VC funding led by Advanced Biotechnologies Venture Fund.www.zymeworks.com
