Apax Partners and TPG Capital are among several bidders for Cole Haan, a leather handbag and shoe maker being sold by Nike (NYSE: NKE), according to Reuters. Goldman Sachs is managing the process, which is expected to generate around $500 million.

Boot Barn Inc., a Huntington Beach, Calif.-based retailer of western and work wear, has agreed to acquire RCC Western Stores, a retailer with 29 locations and a website. No financial terms were disclosed. Boot Barn was recently acquired by Freeman Spogli & Co.

has received several bids for its Belgian mobile unit BASE, according to Reuters. A deal could be valued at upwards of 1.7 billion, with non-binding first-round offers coming from Blackstone Group, Cinven, Providence Equity Partners, Telenet and De Persgroep.

Riverstone Holdings
has agreed three Maryland coal-fired power plants from Exelon (NYSE: EXC). The deal is valued at $400 million, with the resulting company to be called Ravel Power Holdings LLC.

Winchester Electronics Corp., a Wallingford, Conn.-based portfolio company of Audax Group, has acquired Electrical Specialty Products Inc., a Spartanburg, S.C.-based maker of cable assemblies for power management and ruggedized industrial end markets. No financial terms were disclosed.
