Rethink Robotics (f.k.a. Heartland Robotics), a Cambridge, Mass.-based developer of robots for manufacturing environments, has raised $30 million in Series C funding. Existing shareholder Sigma Partners led the round, and was joined by new investor Draper Fisher Jurvetson and return backers Highland Capital Partners, Charles River Ventures and Bezos Expeditions.

Valence Health, a Chicago-based provider of clinical integration and health plan services, has raised $30 million in minority equity funding from North Bridge Growth

Oxford Immunotec, a UK–based developer of diagnostics for infectious and immunological diseases, has raised $28 million in fifth-round funding. Imperial Innovations and Invesco Perpetual co-led the round, and were joined by return backers Clarus Ventures, New Leaf Venture Partners, DFJ Esprit, Wellington, SPARK Ventures, Dow Chemical Co., NTEC, Kaiser Permanente Ventures and the University of Oxford. (f.k.a. JustAnswer), a San Francisco-based Q&A site focused on expert answers to user questions, has raised $25 million in Series A funding. Glynn Capital led the round, and was joined by individual angels like Charles Schwab. The company also reported that it generated over $100 million in revenue over the past year.

Sand 9, a Cambridge, Mass.-based maker of timing oscillator and frequency control technology for the wireless device market, has raised $23 million in Series C funding. Intel Capital led the round, and was joined by Vulcan Capital and return backers Commonwealth Capital Ventures, Flybridge Capital Partners, General Catalyst Partners, Khosla Ventures and CSR.

OneFineStay, a London-based service that allows visitors stay in an upscale home while the owner is out of town, has raised $12 million in Series B funding. Canaan Partners led the round, and was joined by return backers Index Ventures and PROfounders. Part of the proceeds will be used to help support the company’s U.S. launch and other international expansion.

Bitcasa, a Mountain View, Calif.-based cloud storage company, has raised $7 million in new Series A funding (bringing the round total to $9m). Horizons Ventures and return backer Pelion Venture Partnersco-led the round, and were joined by Andreessen Horowitz, First Round Capital, CrunchFund and Samsung Ventures.

Hoopla Software Inc., a West Chester, Penn.-based sales performance optimization platform, has raised $2.8 million in Series A funding. Safeguard Scientifics led the round, and was joined by Illuminate Ventures and

VHX Corp., a platform that helps independent video-makers sell their work, has raised $1.25 million in first-round funding. Lerer Ventures led the round, and was joined by Bedrocket Media Ventures  and individual angels.

eMerge Health Solutions, a Mason, Ohio-based maker of a hands-free, intra-operative documentation and workflow solution, has raised $850,000 in seed funding from CincyTech and individual

GaN Systems Inc., an Ottawa-based  leading developer of gallium nitride power switching semiconductors, has raised an undisclosed amount of Series B funding from return backers Chrysalix Energy Venture Capital and RockPort Capital.
