Air Products (NYSE: APD) has agreed to acquire a 67% stake in Indura SA, a Chile-based independent industrial gas company, for $884 million. Indura has annual sales of $478 million. www.airproducts.com

News Ltd., the Australian unit of News Corp. (Nasdaq: NWSA), has offered to acquire Consolidated Media Holdings (ASX: CMJ) for A$1.97 billion.
