Clayton, Dubilier & Rice has completed its previously-announced acquisition of Roofing Supply Group LLC, a Dallas–based distributor of residential and non-residential roofing materials, from The Sterling Group. No pricing terms were disclosed. CD&R had secured leveraged financing commitments from Deutsche Bank Securities, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse and UBS Investment Bank.

Gordon Brothers Group has acquired over 375 pieces of late-model, heavy construction equipment formerly owned by civil contractor T.J. Lambrecht. No financial terms were disclosed.

Growth Capital Partners has acquired a “significant minority stake” in UK-based ski and winter vacation travel agency for £19 million, from Matrix Private Equity Partners.

KPS Capital Partners has completed its previously-announced acquisition of Robert Bosch GmbH‘s automotive foundation brakes business. No financial terms were disclosed. www.kpsfund.ciom

Marlin Equity Partners has acquired Progressive Solutions, a Canadian provider of enterprise management software for the lumber and building materials supply chain. It will be merged into existing Marlin portfolio company Solarsoft. No financial terms were disclosed.

Plastipak Holdings Inc., a Plymouth, Mich.-based provider of plastic packaging and recycling solutions to large consumer product companies, has secured a “significant equity investment” from GS Capital Partners.

Schafer Corp., a portfolio company of Metalmark Capital, has acquired Kimball Consulting Inc., a Mount Airy, Md.-based provider of embedded software development, computer network operations, digital signal processing, wireless and network programming and IT security services. No financial terms were disclosed. SC&H Capital managed the process.
