Cornerstone Therapeutics Inc. (Nasdaq: CRTX) has agreed to acquire EKR Therapeutics Inc., a Bedminster, N.J.-based drugmaker focused on the acute-care hospital setting. The deal includes a $125 million up-front cash payment. CGEI Wind, a joint venture of Good Energies and Champlin Windpower LLC, has agreed to sell the rights and title to a 4,000 MW wind energy development pipeline, with near term projects in Hawaii and Utah, to Western Wind Energy Corp. Healthscope, an Australian hospital operator owned by The Carlyle Group and TPG Capital, has agreed to sell certain pathology assets to Sonic Healthcare Ltd. (ASX: SHL).
