AT&T held talks to buy Leap Wireless International (Nasdaq: LEAP) earlier this month, according to Reuters. It is unclear if the discussions are ongoing. Leap currently is valued at around $400 million.

EMC Corp. (NYSE: EMC) has acquired XtremIO, a San Jose, Calif.-based developer of solid-state storage solutions. No financial terms were disclosed. XtremIO had raised more than $24 million in VC funding, from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Battery Ventures, Giza Venture Capital and Jerusalem Venture Partners. www.xtremeio.com
