FORTUNE — Earlier this week, we reported that Gil Dibner had stepped down as a principal with Israeli venture capital firm Gemini Israel Funds, but that his next move was unclear.
Now comes word that Dibner is moving north to join Index Ventures as a principal in the firm’s London office. From an email sent to friends and colleagues:
At Index, I’ll be working primarily on seed investments across Europe, Israel, and the US.
This new chapter is taking me to London – and the chance to work with entrepreneurs from across Europe and the US is something I’m very much looking forward to. At the same time, I remain just as committed to the Israeli start-up scene and the Israeli entrepreneur as I have always been.
