AHAlife.com, a New York-based editorialized e-commerce platform for luxury goods and curated gifts, has raised $10.1 million in Series B funding. Japanese ecommerce company Rakuten led the round, and was joined by return backers DCM and FirstMark Capital. www.ahalife.com

Forus Health Pvt. Ltd.
, a Bangalore-based affordable preventative healthcare technology and solutions, has raised $5 million in Series A funding from Accel Partners and IDG Ventures India.www.forushealth.com

Freshdesk
, a Los Angeles-based provider of cloud-based help desk software, has raised $5 million in Series B funding. Tiger Global Management led the round, and was joined by return backer Accel Partners. www.freshdesk.com

TapTap Ne
tworks, a Madrid, Spain-based mobile advertising network, has raised $4.5 million in Series A funding led by Nauta Capitalwww.taptapnetworks.com

AVOS, an Internet startup from YouTube founders Chad Hurley and Steve Chen, has raised an undisclosed amount of Series A funding. New Enterprise Associates and Google Ventures led the round, and were joined by Madrone Capital and Innovation Works. AVOS is said to be working on a number of projects, including a revamped version of social bookmarking site Delicious. www.avos.com
