Back in October 2000, the team at Softbank Venture Capital put together something called “VC ER.” I first heard about it a few weeks back, and had a bit of trouble tracking it down. Every ex-Softbank pro I spoke with either seemed to have lost their copy or stored it away in an old box of VHS cassettes. My guess is they were probably trying to keep it offline, given that it’s both embarrassing and a bit tedious (apparently Softbank could spring for double vodka luges at its annual parties, but not for a video editor).

It’s also worth noting that Softbank Venture Capital is a predecessor firm to Foundry, although none of the Foundry team actually appears in VC ER. There is a reference to “Doctor” Brad Feld, but then we get told that he’s away in Colorado fighting forest fires.

• Bill Burnham: Managing partner of tech-focused hedge fund Inductive Capital Partners
• Rex Golding: Senior managing director at Arma Partners, a boutiqe investment advisory focused on tech, media and telecom
• Greg Prow: Works on global compliance and reporting at Ernst &Young
• Gary Riechel: Founder and managing director of Qiming Venture Partners, a China-focused VC firm.
• Heidi Roizen: Currently teaches the “Spirit of Entrepreneurship” class at Stanford University, and serves on the boards of TiVo and Prysm Inc. Also is the founder and CEO of SkinnySongs.com. Roizen’s then-husband, orthopedic surgeon David Mohler, seems to have gotten them access to the hospital room.
• Carl Rosendahl: Pacific Data Images founder who now services as a faculty member at the Silicon Valley campus of Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center.
• Scott Russell: Founder and managing director of eCarnegieTech, a provider of mentoring and capital to technology entrepreneurs.
• Ben Wen: VP of sales and marketing at ObjectLabs
