Jake Seid

Yesterday we reported that Eric O’Brien would not be participating on the next fund for Lightspeed Venture Partners, after 11 years with the firm. Lightspeed confirmed the news last night, adding that fellow managing director Jake Seid also will be leaving “to pursue other opportunities.”

Seid also joined the firm in 2000, after having served as a product manager with Cisco. Seid’s portfolio companies have included 4Interactive, Icebreaker, Skyfire and Teknovus. He also co-leads Lightspeed’s India practice.

The firm says that both O’Brien and Seid “may continue with Lightspeed in affiliated roles.”
