On the same day, Pichai sold 375 Class A common shares at a price of $786.28 each, and 3,625 Class C capital stock at a price of $768.84 each, the filing said. The $199 million grant would have made Pichai the top-paid U.S. CEO in 2015, according to the Financial Times, which reports that the highest pay for a U.S. CEO last year was the $156 million paid to David Zaslav of Discovery Communications disca .
