The MLB team has worked with data visualization firm Tableau to track real-time food and beverage sales and to measure the boost in ticket sales from bobblehead giveaways. Big companies like Deloitte and Honeywell use Tableau to analyze data too. With more than 60,000 customer accounts and growing, Tableau’s revenues rose by 27% last year. The company’s transition to a subscription-based revenue model will be closely monitored, as well as its expansion in international markets, which currently account for almost 30% of sales.
