The 50 Best Workplaces for Recent College Graduates

See our methodology and credits

Companies on the 50 Best Workplaces for Recent College Graduates list are experiencing job growth and these new jobs are being filled with a high percentage of recent graduates. These workplaces also excel in providing great employee experiences in areas important to recent graduates.

Fortune asked Great Place to Work to determine the winners by taking into account the rate at which companies are adding new jobs year-over-year, how many of their newest employees were recent college graduates, and the results on a series of questions from the Trust Index related to workplace traits important to recent graduates. Great Place to Work surveyed more than 337,000 randomly-selected employees and collected program information from approximately 600 organizations. Employees rated their organization on things including development opportunities, purpose and meaning behind their work, whether promotions are fair, and more. Two-thirds of each company's score is based on this employee feedback. The remaining one-third of each company's score is based on the rate of new job growth, and the extent to which organizations are hiring new college graduates.

Results from the employee survey are highly reliable, having a 95 percent confidence level and a margin of error of 5 percent or less. Companies were selected from a universe of about 600 Great Place to Work-certified organizations. Organizations are certified on the basis of an anonymous 58-statement survey distributed at random to a statistically significant number of current employees.

“Most employees find a workplace to have a hierarchical sense installed, which can lead to unspoken barriers being made between those breaking into a field and those who have gained knowledge through experience. Fortunately, I have not found that disconnect between ranks at Kessler Foundation. Instead, the research scientist that I work closely with and […]

“Honestly, I would have to say that currently what I like most is just that I get to work with such great people. But, now that I’m working with them as their IT Specialist, I would have to add that I enjoy getting to help with all the IT issues that undoubtedly arise at the worst possible times.”

“SalesRoads has one of the best cultures I’ve had the opportunity to work with. Every manager, agent, and even the CEO himself treats everyone not only as an equal but as a friend. Everyone makes sure every day that they congratulate people on a job well done, and help them work through mistakes. I mean just yesterday someone sent me a message out of the blue just to say ‘thank you’ for all the help they felt I provided. It makes it feel like a place I’m happy to come back to every day.”

“Without a doubt the best perk for me has been the ability to work-from-home. I have a 4-year-old daughter, and getting to simply work from the other room versus having to send her to daycare and drive to an office, makes both of us much happier. Plus, everyone in management understands that ‘life happens’ and do their best to accommodate for that with work schedules.”
