Methodology

Published together with our partner Great Place to Work, the 100 Best Workplaces for Women rankings are based entirely upon feedback from more than 137,762 women at Great Place to Work–Certified companies.

Women completed our anonymous Trust Index© survey, answering questions about how frequently they experience the behaviors that create a great workplace, including, for example, their assessment of how fairly they're treated regardless of gender, the quality and authenticity of communications with managers, and equitable pay and promotion practices.

Results from the survey are highly reliable, having a 95% confidence level and a margin of error of 6% or less. Winning a spot on this list indicates the company has distinguished itself from peers by being a great place to work for women, and has a workplace where women have high representation in the total employee population and in management positions. The 100 companies with the highest employee ratings and female representation were selected for the list.

Employees say:

“Our company is very mission-driven. Everything we do is to ‘help people make better health decisions,’ and people here are passionate about this mission. The organization also operates under three core tenets: Respect, Teamwork, and Do the Right Thing. I can always trust that my coworkers—and more importantly, that the highest levels of management and the Board of Directors—will operate by those tenets. Our company also invests heavily in the employees’ wellness. We have a wonderful wellness program that sponsors activities and events year-round. Our wellness tracking is inclusive of all ages and body types. You don’t have to be a star athlete or follow a strict diet to get points to lower your health premium costs. You just have to find things to track that work for you and that will help you be your best self. It’s more like having a supportive coach than a screaming drill instructor. Since coming to work here, I have never been in better health. Our company talks the talk and walks the walk, and I am proud every day to get to come to work here.”

“I love how the organization truly supports health and wellness. We have a wellness day every September that is awesome. But we also have a fitness center on-site, yoga classes, healthy snacks, and the foothills right outside our door for running, biking, or hiking.”
