100 Best Workplaces for Women

See our methodology and credits

Published together with our partner Great Place to Work, the 100 Best Workplaces for Women rankings are based entirely upon feedback from more than 137,762 women at Great Place to Work–Certified companies.

Women completed our anonymous Trust Index© survey, answering questions about how frequently they experience the behaviors that create a great workplace, including, for example, their assessment of how fairly they're treated regardless of gender, the quality and authenticity of communications with managers, and equitable pay and promotion practices.

Results from the survey are highly reliable, having a 95% confidence level and a margin of error of 6% or less. Winning a spot on this list indicates the company has distinguished itself from peers by being a great place to work for women, and has a workplace where women have high representation in the total employee population and in management positions. The 100 companies with the highest employee ratings and female representation were selected for the list.

Employees say:

“I truly believe that our CEO and his team of Division Presidents wants to get it right for our people and our company. Whatever it might be—opportunities, or pay, or a healthy work environment. It could be training, or being the benefits leader in our industry. They are very earnest, and that shines through in every part of our brand. We want to get it right. And because I believe we want to get it right, when we make a mistake, I give them the benefit of the doubt. I don’t assume they are out to get me. We are like a family that way.”

“I feel that the company has afforded me with numerous opportunities over the years. I feel that my work ethic and execution of projects and initiatives has been recognized. I have never asked this company for a promotion or a raise, but both have been awarded to me over the years. I feel that the reason for my advancement is due to hard work, ability to get the job done and my working relationships with management and staff alike. I don’t feel that favoritism or who you know is the motivation for advancement here at First American.”
