Methodology

In an increasingly global and multicultural world, diversity in business has never been more important. But not every company gets it right. To compile this list of the ones that do, Fortune partner Great Place to Work parsed survey responses from 448,456 employees on questions of workplace fairness, morale, and inclusion. The result is a list of companies with rave reviews from their minority, LGBT, and female staff. Plus, this year we added new lists of the top 10 U.S. workplaces for African-Americans, Asian-Americans, and Latinos.

See the full methodology here. And to see the schedule for all of our Best Workplaces lists and more information on how to apply, visit Great Place to Work’s website.

Additional research by Laura Entis, Polina Marinova, Jeremy Quittner, and Anne VanderMey.
