First Questions at Sunday’s Presidential Debate Will Address Donald Trump Tape

Oct 09, 2016

The first questions at Sunday night's presidential debate will focus on Donald Trump's comments in a 2005 video that showed him boasting in vulgar terms that his star power allowed him to grope women without their consent.

Debate moderators Anderson Cooper and Martha Raddatz readjusted their questions after the video was released Friday, CNNMoney reported. Both Trump and Hillary Clinton will be asked to address the comments. Clinton will get the first question, according to a coin toss by the Commission on Presidential Debates.

Trump’s campaign has been in a tailspin ever since the release of the video on Friday. Dozens of Republican officials have condemned him, and many have withdrawn their endorsements and called on him to withdraw from the race.

Trump has been defiant, vowing to continue his campaign and, while apologizing tepidly for the remarks, saying that Bill Clinton has done far worse.
