FORTUNE — Luis Robles has left venture capital firm Sequoia Capital, where he had been a partner since 2010. No word yet on his future plans, although it sounds like he may be looking to do something more entrepreneurial than financial.
While with Sequoia, Robles worked on such deals as MongoDB, StorVisor, ThousandEyes and Virident Systems. His MongoDB board seat will be transitioned to another Sequoia partner.
Prior to becoming a venture capitalist, Robles had been an early software engineer and senior product manager at VMWare (VMW).
Robles has not yet responded to a request for comment. His bio is no longer listed on the Sequoia Capital website.
Earlier today, Fortune reported that Sequoia is currently raising three new funds.
