Cedorax Inc., a Southborough, Mass.-based payment processing and fraud prevention company, has raised $40 million in VC funding from FTV Capital, according to VentureWire. Existing shareholders include Blumberg Capital and Mobile Internet Capital.

Syndax Pharmaceuticals Inc., a Waltham, Mass.-based developer of epigenetic therapies for treatment-resistant cancers, has raised $26.6 million in Series B funding. Backers include Domain Associates, MPM Capital, Forward Ventures and RusnanoMedInvest.

, a Studio City, Calif.-based provider of rights and content management SaaS solutions for the film and television industries, has raised $20 million in equity funding from Insight Venture

Vestagen Technical Textiles, an Orlando-based developer of medical devices based on active barrier protective fabrics, has raised $8.25 million in new VC funding. Advent Life Sciences led the round, and was joined by Alliance Healthcare Investment Fund and return backer V-Ten Capital.

GuideSpark, a Menlo Park, Calif.-based digital employee communications company, has raised $5 million in new VC funding. Storm Ventures led the round, and was joined by IDG

Carnival Labs, a mobile brand accelerator with offices in New York and New Zealand, has raised $2.4 million in seed funding. Lerer Ventures and Gary Vaynerchuk co-led the round, and were joined by Flybridge Capital Partners, Bowery Capital, Google Ventures, David Tisch, Jos White and Michael Lazerow.

Safaba Translation Solutions LLC, a Pittsburgh-based provider of automatic translation solutions for digital content, has raised an undisclosed amount of first-round funding. Newlin Investment Co. led the round, and was joined by Innovation Works.

Joule Unlimited, a Bedford, Mass.-based developer of technology to convert carbon dioxide into ethanol, has raised $50 million in fourth-round funding. Return backers include Flagship Ventures. In related news, Flagship Ventures founder Noubar Afeyan is stepping in as interim CEO – with prior CEO William Sims remaining on the Joule board of directors.

HyTrust Inc., a Mountain View, Calif.-based provider of policy management and access control for virtualization and cloud infrastructure, has raised $6 million in additional Series C funding from Intel Capital and Fortinet. The round total is now $18.5 million, including prior investments from In-Q-Tel, VMWare, Cisco Systems, Epic Ventures, Granite Ventures and Trident Capital., a New York-based content analytics and optimization platform, has raised $5 million in Series A funding. Grotech Ventures led the round, and was joined by Blumberg Capital, ff Venture Capital, and FundersClub.

Trove Predictive Data Sciences (f.k.a. GridGlo), a Delray Beach, Fla.-based provider of “analytical solutions and data-driven insights,” has raised $1.1 million in new VC funding from backers like CUBRC Inc.
