WhipTail, a Whippany, N.J.-based flash storage company, has raised $31 million in Series C equity and debt financing. Equity backers include SanDisk, Ignition Partners, RRE Ventures and Spring Mountain Capital, while a the debt came from Silicon Valley Bank.

SpotHero, a Chicago-based parking garage reservation startup, has raised $2.5 million in VC funding. Battery Ventures led the round, and was joined by 500 Startups, Bullet Time Ventures, e.Ventures, OCA Ventures, New World Ventures, Lightbank and Draper VC.

Bright Light Systems Inc., an Alpharetta, Ga.-based maker of energy efficient lighting solutions (including light-emitting plasma), has raised $1.9 million in Series A funding led by Fulcrum Equity Partners.

Vivino, the Danish maker of a social wine app, has raised $1 million in Series A funding from Creandum.

MiTú, a Los Angeles-based multi-channel YouTube network dedicated to Latino content, has raised an undisclosed amount of new funding led by The Chernin Group. Other investors included Advancit Capital, Code Advisors, Allen DeBevoise (Machinima) and Juan Cristóbal Ferrer (Ferrer Comunicación).
