Apple posts its gift guide for the 2012 holiday season

FORTUNE -- Apple (aapl) must think Americans are feeling pretty flush this holiday season. With only 10 days to go before the madness of Black Friday, it posted a holiday gift guide Tuesday featuring some pretty pricy presents.

Topping the page is the new iPad mini starting at $329. Given that Americans spent an average of $705 on presents last Christmas, one iPad mini would represent more than 45% of the typical family budget.

And the mini isn't even highest priced item on the page. That honor goes to the Bowers and Williams AirPlay Wireless Music System ($499.95). Apple cheapest offering: The Monopoly zAPPed Edition ($29.95), which looks just like the familiar game except there's an iPad parked in the center of the board.

Average price of Apple's recommended gifts: $186.86.

My favorite: The $299.95 Parrot AR.Drone 2.0, a remote-control quadricopter with two built-in cameras (front-facing and vertical) and a ultrasound altimeter. That's a toy I could love.
