FORTUNE — The difficulties Apple (AAPL) has had from day 1 keeping up with the extraordinary demand for the iPhone 5 finally seem to be close to a resolution.

On Friday BTIG Research’s Walter Piecyk reported that shipping times were down to one week at all three U.S. carriers — AT&T (T), Verizon (VZ) and Sprint (S) — although on Apple’s website they were still listed as 3-4 weeks. (See Supply no longer an issue.)

On Monday, however, Apple updated its website, and iPhone 5 ship times are now listed as 2-3 weeks for all models, black and white.

Remarks made last week by Foxconn Chair Terry Gou that his factories were having trouble keeping up with the “huge demand” for iPhones suggest that supplies are catching up to demand, not that demand is falling to meet the level of supplies.
