Kayne Anderson Energy Funds has committed up to $100 million in equity to form Cantera Energy LLC, which will acquire and developer oil and natural gas properties in the onshore Gulf Coast region. The Woodlands, Texas-based company will be led by former El Paso executives John Kelly and Nico

Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia has offered to acquire Feihe International Inc. (NYSE: ADY), a producer of infant formula in China, for $146 million, or $7.40 per share. The offer is being made in partnership with Feihe chairman and CEO You-Bin Leng.

Olympus Partners has acquired Waddington North America Inc., a Covington, Ky.–based maker of rigid plastic foodservice disposables, from Norwest Equity Partners and Seven Mile Capital Partners. No financial terms were disclosed.
