Visible Measures, a Boston-based provider of online video and advertising analytics, has raised $21.5 million in Series E funding. DAG Ventures led the round, and was joined by Commonfund and return backers Advance Publications, General Catalyst Partners, Mohr Davidow Ventures and Northgate Capital. The company previously raised around $42 million.

Elcelyx Therapeutics, a San Diego-based developer of products for weight management and obesity-related metabolic disorders, has raised $4 million in new Series B funding from return backers Morgenthaler Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Technology Partners. The company has now raised a total of $20 million.

Savveo Inc., a Charlotte, N.C.-based online marketplace for local advertising, has raised $2 million in Series A funding from individual angels like Tim Biltz (CEO of Lumos Networks) and Sayoko Teitelbaum (co-founder of Toura).

LocationInsight LLC, a provider of local search marketing solutions, has raised $5 million from United Communications Group to help finance a management buyout from InfoNow Corp. (OTC BB: INOW).

, a San Francisco-based developer of social networks for people with chronic health conditions, has raised $1.75 million in seed funding. Adams Street Partners led the round, and was joined by 500 Startups and individual angels.

CakeStyle, a Chicago-based deliverer of curated women’s fashion “boxes,” has raised $1 million in seed funding from Sandbox Industries.

HealthLoop Inc., a San Francisco-based company that helps physicians track patient health, has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from Founders Fund, TomorrowVentures, Altos Health Management, Kapor Capital, Physic Ventures and individual angels. The deal was first reported by VentureWire, which says a $5 million to $10 million Series A round may soon follow.
