McGraw-Hill Companies (NYSE: MHP) has received several first-round bids for its education business, which has annual sales of around $3 billion, according to Reuters. Suitors include Apollo Global Management, Bain Capital, Cengage Learning (owned by Apax Partners), OMERS Capital Partners and Thomas H. Lee Partners.

Bolttech Mannings Inc., a portfolio company of Grey Mountain Partners, has acquired Bone Frontier Inc., a Brighton, Colo.-based maker of heat induction equipment utilized in power plants, petrochemical facilities, refineries and other process-intensive settings. No financial terms were disclosed.

Fortissimo Capital has agreed to acquire Starhome BV, a Dutch provider of roaming services and converged solutions for mobile network operators, from Comverse Technology Inc. (Nasdaq: CMVT). The deal is valued at around $80.3 million in cash.

Riordan Lewis & Haden Equity Partners and Skyline Global Partners have acquired DCRX Infusion, a Sunrise, Fla.-based provider of products and services to dialysis centers. No financial terms were disclosed.
