Rocket Fuel, a Redwood Shores, Calif.-based provider of artificial intelligence advertising solutions for digital marketers, has raised $50 million in new funding. Northgate Capital led the round, and was joined by fellow return backers Nokia Growth Capital and Mohr Davidow Ventures. Also participating were new investors Summit Partners and Cross Creek Capital, plus Comerica Bank. The company previously raised $26 million. www.rocketfuel.com

Practice Fusion, a San Francisco–based free electric medical records platform, has raised $34 million in Series C funding. Artis Ventures led the round, and was joined by return backers like Felicis Ventures, Band of Angels, Glynn Capital, Founders Fund, Morgenthaler Ventures, SV Angel and Barton Asset Management. www.practicefusion.com

, a Los Angeles-based platform for social video discovery, has raised $8 million in new VC funding.Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and William Morris co-led the round, and were joined by Atlas Venture and Lowercase Capital. Dogvacay.com, a community where users can have their dogs boarded in real home settings (i.e., not kennels), has raised an undisclosed amount of new funding from Andreessen Horowitz.
