MobileIron, a Mountain View, Calif.-based provider of mobile IT security and management solutions for apps, content and devices, has raised $40 million in Series E funding. Institutional Venture Partnersled the round, and was joined by return backers Foundation Capital, Norwest Venture Partners, Sequoia Capital and Storm Ventures. The company previously raised $57 million.

Group Commerce Inc., a New York-based e-commerce platform for publishers, has raised $21 million in Series C funding. Jafco Ventures was joined by return backers Spark Capital and Carmel Ventures. The company previously raised around $18 million.

Qualtré Inc., a Marlborough, Mass.-based provider of inertial sensors for consumer and industrial applications, has raised $10 million in new private equity and debt funding. Matrix Partners and Pilot House Ventures provided the equity tranche, while Eastward Capital Partners provided the

Mindshapes, an interactive e-learning company, has raised $4 million in VC funding from Index Ventures, Richmond Park Partners and undisclosed existing backers.

SmartDigital, a developer of outdoor interactive ad displays, has raised $2.7 million in Series A funding led by Advantage Capital

Junar Inc., an open data platform with offices in Chile and Silicon Valley, has raised $1.2 million from firms like Aurus and Austral
