Beacon Roofing Supply Inc. (Nasdaq: BECN) has agreed to acquire Pennsylvania rival Cassady Pierce Co. for an undisclosed amount.

The Carlyle Group is in talks to sell its stake in Taiwan’s Ta Chong Bank to Yuanta Financial for up to $1.25 billion, according to Reuters.


Pacific Equity Partners has hired Goldman Sachs to manage a sale process for Link Group, an Australian share registry business that could be worth upwards of A$1.4 billion (including debt), according to Reuters.


Spire Capital Partners has sold Certiport, an American Fork, Utah-based provider of certification exams and practice tests of IT and digital literacy skills, to Pearson PLC (LSE: PSON). The deal was valued at $140 million in cash.

Glendon Group Inc. has agreed to acquire BIDZ Inc. (Nasdaq: BIDZ), an online jewelry retailer, for around $14.3 million, or $0.78 per share.

Nucor Corp. (NYSE: NUE) has agreed to acquire Skyline Steel, a Parsippany, N.J.-based steel foundation company, from ArcelorMittal for approximately $605 million.
