Allot Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: ALLT) has agreed to acquire Ortiva Wireless, a La Jolla, Calif.-based provider of mobile video optimization solutions. No financial terms were disclosed. Ortiva Wireless has raised over $11 million in VC funding, from firms like Intel Capital, Comcast Interactive Capital, Artiman Ventures and Mission Ventures.

Ascena Retail Group Inc. (Nasdaq: ASNA) has agreed to acquire Charming Shoppes Inc. (Nasdaq: CHRS), a retailer of women’s plus-size apparel under the Lane Bryant brand, for around $890 million in cash, or $7.35 per share.

GREE (Tokyo: 3632) has acquired Funzio Inc., a San Francisco-based developer of action games for Facebook and mobile devices. The deal was valued at $210 million. Funzio had raised $20 million from IDG Ventures (San Francisco) and IDG Capital Partners (China).

Intact Financial Corp. (TSX: IFC), a Canadian property and casualty insurer, has agreed to buy Jevco Insurance Co. from Westaim Corp. (TSX: WED) for C$530 million.

Microchip Technology Inc. (Nasdaq: MCHP) has agreed to acquire Standard Microsystems Corp.(Nasdaq: SMSC) for approximately $939 million (including around $173 million of SMSC balance sheet assets).
