Lithium Technologies, an Emeryville, Calif.-based provider of social customer experience solutions for the enterprise, has raised $53.4 million in Series D funding. New Enterprise Associates led the round, and was joined by SAP Ventures and return backers Benchmark Capital, DAG Ventures, Emergence Capital, Greenspring Associates, Shasta Ventures and Tenaya Capital. The company previously raised around $39 million, and views this new deal as a pre-IPO round. Some of the proceeds will be used for opportunistic acquisitions, while the company also plans to double its 200-person workforce.

SuVolta, a Los Gatos, Calif.-based developer of IC technology designed to cut chip power consumption, has raised $17.6 million in new VC funding. Bright Capital was joined by return backers like Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, August Capital, New Enterprise Associates, Northgate Capital and DAG Ventures. The company previously raised around $48 million.

BodyShopBids, a Chicago-based digital platform that lets consumers solicit auto repair estimates by uploading a photo, has raised $1 million in Series A funding. OCA Ventures led the round, and was joined by New World Ventures and Lightbank.

of San Francisco has raised $1 million in seed funding. Backers include SVAngel, StartFund, Felicis Ventures, Charles River Ventures and YouTube co-founder Steve Chen.

NeuroGenetic Pharmaceuticals Inc., a San Diego-based developer of Alzheimer’s disease therapeutics, has raised an undisclosed amount of financing from Abbott Biotech Ventures.
