uTest, a Southborough, Mass.-based operator of a software testing marketplace, has raised $17 million in Series D funding. QuestMark Partners led the round, and was joined by return backers Scale Venture Partners, Longworth Venture Partners, Egan-Managed Capital and Mesco Ltd. The company previously raised around $20 million.

XtremIO, a San Jose, Calif.-based developer of solid-state storage solutions, has raised around $5 million in new Series B funding. Lightspeed Venture Partners led the new tranche, which brings the round total to more than $19 million. Earlier backers include Battery Ventures, Giza Venture Capital and Jerusalem Venture Partners.

Prism Solar Technologies Inc., a Highland, N.Y.-based maker of products that improve the efficiency of solar energy collection, has raised $4.4 million in VC funding led by I2BF Venture

Power2Switch, a Chicago-based online comparison engine for energy rates and an automated switching process to new electricity supplier, has raised $1.3 million in VC funding. OCA Ventures led the round, and was joined by Hyde Park Angels, New World Ventures and I2A.
