Klip, a social video viewing and discovery app, has raised $8 million in Series B funding. Benchmark Capital led the round, and was joined by return backer Matrix Partners. www.klip.com

Harvest Automation, a Billerica, Mass.-based automated material handling startup, has raised $7.8 million in new VC funding led by Entrée Capital. Return backers include Founder Collective, Life Sciences Partners, Cultivian Ventures and Massachusetts Technology Development Corp. www.harvestai.com
