Our first networking event is just around the corner.

In the year since joining Fortune, the two questions I’ve heard most often are: (1) How do you like the new job, and (2) When are you going to start hosting reader parties again?

The answer to the first is that things are delightful, and thank you for asking. The answer to the second is Tuesday, November 15 in New York City.

I’m pleased to announce that Term Sheet’s first Liquidity Event is less than one month away, and you can get tickets at
http://termsheet.eventbrite.com
. They cost just $10 (plus a small service charge), with proceeds being donated to a nonprofit to be chosen by event attendees (be sure to nominate one upon sign-up).

No content, just cocktails and conversation with the City’s top deal-makers, deal-breakers and assorted hangers-on. VCs, PE pros, lawyers, bankers, entrepreneurs and more (including yours truly). And, yes, it’s an open bar.

Tickets are limited, so be sure to
get yours today
. I can’t wait to see you there…
